In 7 days, Nigerians were more interested in Adeleke, Omisore than Oyetola ahead of September 22 governorship election




As Osun voters go to polls on September 22, Infoprations’ Trending Analysis indicates that Senator Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke of the People’s Democratic Party and Former Senator Iyiola Omisore, vying for the number one executive position in the State through the Social Democratic Party were more searched than Alhaji Isiaka Gboyega Oyetola, the All Progressives Congress’s candidate in the last 7 days.
Analysis also indicates that Alhaji Fatai Akinade Akinbade, who is contesting under the platform of the African Democratic Congress, was searched less by the people in four South Western States and Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory. People were more interested in Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, another candidate who is participating in the election under the platform of Action Democratic Party, than Akinbade and Oyetola.
On location basis, Senator Adeleke was searched in Osun, Oyo and Ogun at 100% while he had 57% and 86% in Lagos and Abuja respectively. Alhaji Oyetola only had 6% from Lagos throughout the days, less than 26% attained by Senator Omisore and 9% recorded by Alhaji Adeoti.
Analysis further indicates that Senator Adeleke was understood within his names, Davido, Isiaka Adeleke, Gboyega Oyetola, Deji Adeleke, APC, Akin Ogunbiyi, Bukola Saraki and Iyiola Omisore during the period. This indicates that people in Lagos, Osun, Oyo, Ogun and Abuja sought information about Senator Adeleke through the political and social actors.
