Meet Rasheed Omobolaji, the man who made machine using Palm Kernel waste

Rasheed Omobolaji graduated from the University of Ibadan few years ago, having satisfied the University’s requirements for the award of degree in Agricultural and Environmental Engineering. In the last ten years, Rasheed has been designing and creating cost efficient machines for smallholder and industrial farmers in Nigeria.

In 2016, Rasheed Omobolaji, member of the Nigeria Society of Engineers, modified and fabricated Batch Dryer machine using waste generated from Palm Kernel ( the shell of the crop) while working with Ace Farms and Feed Mill Limited, Ibadan as a Maintenance Engineer.

He has equally conceived, designed and fabricated EOL (End of Line) Sieving Machine for sorting and separating lumps and dust from finished products.

Early this year, Rasheed Omobolaji decided to establish his agricultural machines fabrication company, MR Agrico Engineering Limited, to solve pre and post harvest losses being experienced by farmers in Nigeria in the production chain. Apart from this, Rasheed Omobolaji believes that MR Agrico’s entry into the machine fabrication segment of the agriculture sector would relieve farmers’ huge financial burden associated with importation of farm machines.

Fish Feed Extruder

It has 200kg/hr capacity with 22kilowatt Electric Motor. Fish feed Extruder is used for producing floating feed of all various sizes for all kinds of aquatic animals. The final feed extruded had unique shape and good taste.

De-feathering

De-feathering machine is made from Stainless Steel. De-feathering machine is developed for removing the feathers from several types of birds. It is capable of plucking 4 birds at a time.

Vertical Mixer

It has 2tons/hr capacity. This machine is used in feed mills for mixing of feed ingredients and premixes. The mixer plays a vital role in the feed production process with efficient mixing being the key to good feed production.

Hammer Mill

It has 1ton/hr capacity. This machine is used to shred or crush aggregate material into smaller particles. It mills grains into sizes to be fed to livestock.

Industrial Hand Trolley Truck

It has 200kg capacity, Red painted Steel Pipe. It is sturdy and versatility.
The trolley is used to transport materials, equipment and for service delivering efficiently and safely.
