2019 Elections: Agriculture, Resource Flow, Youth Development Occupy Seyi Makinde’s Manifesto for Oyo State



Like the Presidential candidate of his party, Engineer Seyi Makinde of the People’s Democratic Party who is contesting for the governorship position in Oyo State has released his strategic plan for the state ahead of the 2019 general elections.
In the plan, Engineer Makinde pointed out that “the major policy thrust of PDP’s intervention is to revitalize the economy of Oyo State and maximize the exploitation of the various potentials of the state to create wealth, cultivate the private sector and improve the welfare of the populace. Hence, the suggested policies and action plans to achieve this goal.”
The plan announced on his professional platform a few hours ago has been receiving reactions from Nigerian professionals. “This is a good one for Oyo State and democracy, a comprehensive manifesto,” Ayobami Adegoke, one of the professionals who reacted to the plan said. He added that Engineer Makinde, when becoming governor, should consider Private Public Partnership for infrastructural development in the state. “Oyo State is large and needs power and good road network, which government cannot achieve alone,” he pointed out.
