Insights from the search trending data have
shown that Nigerians and other nationals residing in the country sought
knowledge about sports, economy than politics and crime. According to the data,
sports have been searched more than 11,000 times while economy search interest
has reached 2,142. Politics closely followed the two interests by 1,605 times.
As the people exhibited much interest in
the two leading interests, sky, sports news, sky sports news and football
sports were the top five related queries to sports. The data also indicates
that people searched about Nigeria, economy of Nigeria, what is economy, the
nature of Nigerian economy and nature of the Nigerian economy within economy
interest.
When viewed from the origin of the interest, sports were more searched from Bonny, Lagos and Abuja than other places. Economy was searched prominently from Enugu and Ibadan than other locations in the country. People in Uyo had more interest in politics than others during the period.
