Infoprations’ prediction confirmed as Fayemi wins Ekiti 2018 governorship election

The results that emerged from the 16 local governments in Ekiti State have confirmed Infoprations’ earlier prediction. Dr Kayode Fayemi, candidate of the All Progressive Congress polled 197,462 while Professor Olusola Eleka of the People’s Democratic Party scored 177,927 votes.

Dr Fayemi won in Irepodun/Ifelodun, Oye, Moba and Ise-Orun. These local councils have earlier been predicted to be the battle grounds for the two contenders. Dr Fayemi with the support of his party converted the negative prediction in Ekiti West, Ekiti South West, Ekiti East and Ilejemeje into victory while he was unable to attain significant votes in Emure despite over 43% chance projected earlier. This council was won by the PDP in spite of the negative chance projected earlier.
