Nigerians’ diminishing interest in APC and PDP ahead of 2019 General Elections

Interest in reading news on People’s Democratic Party from July 7th 2018 to June 24th 2018 was higher than the ruling party, All Progressive Congress. However, interest in knowing prominent members of All Progressive Congress was higher than seeking information on the People’s Democratic Party’s members. Analysis shows negative disparity in knowledge sought by Nigerians through the Internet about the prominent people in the ruling party and the main opposition party. This is an indication that Nigerians interest in the two parties is quite differ.
When Nigerians had interest in reading election news, PDP had 2.3% chances of being searched while the tendency of searching for the ruling party was 0.4%.
