Insecurity: Nigerians identify 9 flashpoints to President Buahri

In their contributions towards secured environment, Nigerians have identified Shinkafi, Zurmi, Sabon Birni, Kala Balge, Ngala, Maradun, Mailari, Ukanafun and Etim Ekpo as areas Federal government needs to deploy its security personnel and resources to. Nigerians, who commented on President Buhari’s Official Facebook Page, briefing Nigerians the outcomes of his meeting with the Security Chiefs on August 20, noted that President Buhari should overhaul the country’s security system.
The Post says government remains committed to guaranteeing the security of lives and property in the country. “Today the Security Chiefs briefed me on ongoing operations in various flashpoints across the country: Operations Lafiya Dole, Whirl Stroke I and II, Sharan Daji, and others. I commend all our security personnel on the frontlines, working hard to secure every part of the country.
“I am pleased to note the progress we are making, but we will also ensure we do not relent. We will ensure we deal decisively with all forms of banditry and criminality.”
Shinkafi and Zurmi are local councils in Zamfara State while Sabon Birni is also local council situated in Sokoto State. According to the commenters, these areas are renowned for kidnapping activity and other crimes. Nigerians also want government to secure lives and property in Kala Balge and Ngala local councils located in Borno State. One of the commenters notes that Maradun local council in Zamfara State needs appropriate decision to reduce the armed bandits’ activities.
“We remain committed, as an administration, to guaranteeing the security of lives and property in every party of Nigeria”…Please sir, there are two Local Government Areas in Akwa Ibom State called Ukanafun and Etim Ekpo. These places have become desert due to insecurity. Over 3,000 people have been killed in these places in the past two years. Please, as I quoted you your Excellency, kindly extend your security network to these areas as part of Nigeria,” Emma Peter noted.
Infoprations’ analysis of the post indicates that President Buhari is happy with the level of security attained in the country and believes that the security challenges would be solved as soon as possible.
