The Positive Campaign
Initiative, Nigeria has partnered Infoprations on dissemination of its
campaign monitoring data- driven analysis.
In a statement issued
and signed by Kamoru Salaudeen,
Coordinator, Public and Media Engagement of the organisation, the NGO has
described this new move as a breakthrough because the agreement would enable it
have a broader and wider reach of dissemination of its research outcome on
positive campaigns in Nigerian elections.
The working agreement
signed in Lagos saw the information service website collaborate with the NGO to
police the election campaign atmosphere in Nigeria in order to ensure
sustainable democracy in the country. This will also assist the Nigerian
electorates make credible choice of candidates for elective offices when they
are armed with data- driven information.
With this
collaboration, Infoprations would
begin a series on the PCI, Nigeria campaign monitoring research starting with
the ongoing Osun 2018 election campaign monitoring programme.
Reacting, Akinola
Sheriff, Head of Communications at Infoprations said the partnership aligns
with the portal core purpose of bringing data-driven information to its teeming
readers across the world.
He added that the collaboration will go in a long way
of helping political parties, candidates and voters realizing their goals and
objectives during voting exercise in the September 22 election and general
elections in 2019.
