PCI Series: APC’s statement on women empowerment, prompt salary payment, religious tolerance: myth or reality?

Governor Rauf Aregbesola was elected twice by the people of Osun state on the promise that he would make life easier for everyone through his 6-point agenda. Banishing hunger and poverty is one of the agenda. This is encompassing because it involves crafting and implementing programmes that enhance welfare of the citizens now and in the future.
In a recent conversation with the public, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola noted that his government has spent N15 billion to empower 350,000 women and youth by training them in different vocations in the last seven years. As different forces continue shaping the campaigns for the September 22 election, his party’s flag bearer, Alhaji Gboyega Isiaka Oyetola has equally promised that when he becomes governor, women would be empowered while he would make sure that workers in the state earn their full salary promptly.  He made the pledge on Thursday 16th August, 2018 in Ile-Ife during a session with the Delegates of All Christian Leaders and Ministers Forum, Osun East Senatorial District Chapter.
PCI dissected the promise and found that the extract from the session was laced with happiness, assuring women and workers of good fortunes ahead. He noted that helping people most especially women is not a new development in his life because his wife has empowered them in the past. With 68%, PCI found that APC’s candidate is confident he would fulfill the promises. Apart from empowerment and workers’ salary prioritization, Alhaji Oyetola also promised that religion status of everyone in the state would be respected by his administration.
With these promises, would voters be interested in the candidacy of Alhaji Gboyega Isiaka Oyetola and his party by voting them in the September 22 election?
