Ulta Beauty App is World’s most rated, reviewed, installed Beauty App in 8 months



With less than 4 months to the end of 2018, Infoprations’ analysis of Mobile Applications download trends and installation has shown that Ulta Beauty App is the most rated, reviewed and installed beauty application from January to August of the year.
Ulta Beauty App, from the stable of Ulta Cosmetics in the United States, led other 29 applications within the beauty category. During the period, the app recorded 42,050 reviews and 5-star rating with more than 1 million installations across the world. Sephora: Skin Care, Beauty Makeup & Fragrance Shop App followed Ulta Beauty App with 26,834 reviews, same start rating and number of installations.
In 2016, Ulta Beauty Incorporation recorded $4.8 billion revenue. Information has it that it is one of the biggest cosmetics companies in the US.  Ulta Beauty carries cosmetics and skincare brands, men's and women's fragrances, and haircare products. Each store is also equipped with a salon.
Twenty-seven of the 30 Applications studied from the Google Play Store were classified to be applicable to everyone, 2 for the teen and 1 for the matured users from age 17. Analysis further shows that Ulta Beauty App was searched mostly from the United States from January to August, 2018 with Ulta Beauty App, mobile app, application software, cosmetics and beauty as top related topics. This indicates that Americans and other people in the country had more interest in gaining knowledge and use Ulta Beauty App than the rest of the world.
On a general note, Infoprations found that customer rating of all the Applications related with the installations negatively. A 15.1% reduction was discovered. However, customer review catered for the reduction caused by the rating. Analysis reveals that the reviews connected with installations by 70.3%. This connection could be understood within 49.4% of 345, 479 reviews that led to 3,833,440 installations out of 7,760,000 installations from January to August, 2018. Analysis has revealed that review helps Applications get installed than the rating. This means that companies using Mobile Application for more digital presence and services delivery need to work on the App Review Strategy.
