5 Promises Oyo’s PDP Governorship Candidate Made in a Month


As political parties and politicians from Oyo state join others across the country for the electoral campaigns today, Infoprations’ analysis has shown that Engineer Seyi Makinde, the People’s Democratic Party’s governorship candidate in the state pledged inclusive government, judicious use of existing resources, improved living conditions, adequate funding for education sector and enabling environment for employment creation within a month.  These promises were made by the candidate through his professional networking platform.

Promise 1: Inclusive Government
Our administration will run an inclusive government by involving our people in the decision making process of policies. Oyo state belongs to all of us, not just a privileged few.
Promise 2: Sustainable Use of Resources
If elected, our administration will use the resources of Oyo state for the people of our state. We are committed to ensuring that our people in Oyo state are lifted out of grinding poverty.
Promise 3: Improved Living Standards
Take a stand against poverty in Oyo state. Together, we can improve the living standards of our people.
Promise 4: Adequate Funding of Education Sector
Our administration will prioritise funding of the education sector in Oyo state. Irregular payment of workers’ salaries and other funding issues in our education sector, which led to strikes by staff in tertiary institutions will be addressed.
Promise 5: Job Provision
Youths form a larger part of the population in Oyo state and are worst hit by unemployment. We will prioritise improving the ease of doing business to attract businesses to the state so our young people can be gainfully employed.
