In 2019, FM Companies Must Be DDE Compliance Before Capturing Value

Activities for the next year must have been mapped and dissected at corporate, business and functional levels by companies that want incremental growth in terms of revenue and profit. As one of the emerging industries in the world with constant change in organisations and individuals’ purchasing behaviour, Infoprations expects facility management companies to discover the change and deliver appropriate solutions. Not only this, companies need to equip personnel with the right knowledge and skills at the right time to enable them deliver the sustainable solutions seamlessly.

Beyond the discovery of the new opportunities through understanding of the demographics and emerging psychographics of the corporate and individual clients, FM companies must encourage their employees using appropriate means before capturing values –revenue and profit in 2019. Employees need to be rewarded when necessary for them to exhibit the right attitude and behaviour at client’s place.
DDE can only be achieved within the Research and Development context. R and D is one of the business growth components many companies do not prioritise, especially those in the services industry. Like other countries in developing world, Nigerian FM companies are lagging behind in the adoption of R and D. For instance, in the recent analysis, it was discovered that few companies in the Nigerian FM industry are capable in terms of innovating solutions for commercial, residential and industrial segments of the industry. By 2019, FM companies need to allocate certain percentage of their 2018 revenue for R and D activities within DDE framework.
