World’s eyes on APC, PDP ahead of Ekiti’s July 14 election


With the less than three days to the Ekiti State’s 2018 governorship election, from the south to the west and north to the east, Nigerians and other nationals developed interest in the election and the political parties, last 24hours’ analysis reveals.


Analysis indicates that the All Progressive Congress, opposition party, was searched more than the ruling party, the People’s Democratic Party. The search volume for the opposition party was 10,862 while the ruling PDP had 3,181 search volume.
Analysis shows that the highest search interest for the APC came from Costa Rica, Hong Kong, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Germany and Romania while the ruling PDP's interest originated from South Africa, Italy and Nigeria mostly. Analysis further indicates that the interest in the People’s Democratic Party, the ruling party in the state was dipped for the last hour of the 24 hours examined. Both parties were searched mostly in relation with their recent campaign activities.
